Glow Skin for This Summer

Summer is already here! Let’s get ready with us!

Summer is a time for beach days, swimming parties, and vacations. Taking care of your skin is also a great idea right now. During the summer, longer daylight hours and hot, dry, or humid weather may affect your skin differently than during the winter when the days are shorter and darker.

Here are some tips for an ultimate summer skincare routine!

1. Apply sunscreen often

Even if you decide to stay indoors, sunscreen is a must for your skincare routine. It is of the utmost importance that you protect your skin from the sun. In the absence of that, your skin will age faster, and you will be at a higher risk of developing skin cancer.

Look for suncreen that’s broad-spectrum SPF 30+ and reapply every 2 hours. And don’t forget about your lips, too!

2. Keep moisturizing

Generally, the air isn't as dry in the summer as it is in the winter. Keep in mind, however, that your skin can still become dry during the summer. Despite this, a heavy moisturizer can feel like it weighs down your face in the summer heat. Finding one that is lighter is recommended.

Additionally, a moisturizer with SPF can add an extra layer of protection under the sunscreen.

3. Exfoliate once or twice a week

Sunscreen is important, and sweat is the body's natural way of cooling down. In either case, your pores can be damaged. This is where exfoliation comes in. It reduces blemishes and unclogs pores.

Exfoliation should be limited to once to twice a week to avoid tight, cracked, and scaly skin. Also, do not exfoliate sunburnt skin.

4. Add collagen to the diet

A major benefit of collagen is that it provides structure to our skin, as well as strengthening, elasticity, and hydration. Additionally, collagen contributes to the health of the bone system, since bones are mainly made up of collagen.

Collagen levels can be increased through diet. Vitamin C, which is found in citrus fruits, broccoli, and bell peppers, is one of the best sources of collagen, along with gelatin (bone broth) and connective tissues of animals (chicken skin and fish). However, maintaining a diet rich in collagen can also be challenging.

Vitatree Marine Collagen Plus is packed with marine collagen, sheep placenta & Royal Jelly, which play vital roles in boosting the skin’s firmness and resilience, reducing fine lines, and strengthening your hair and nails.
